Storage Engineering

Dell is a multinational computer technology company that develops, sells, and supports computers, enterprise solutions, servers, and computing resources.

As the youngest engineer on Dell's storage engineering team, Cody oversaw performance evaluations of Storage Area Networks (SANs) across multiple UNIX variants — a large pool of resources used to stress-test the systems Dell sold.

Before the "cloud" existed, he wrote software that managed racks of individual application servers across HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, SunOS, and Linux to tune and optimize Dell's products in real-world environments.

Texas A&M University

College of Liberal Arts

Texas A&M is the fourth-largest public university in the US, located in College Station, TX, with a heavy focus on research.

Working with the College of Liberal Arts on a content management system, Cody recognized inefficiencies within the College. Using UML and Python, he built organizational models to help the enterprise organize its 12 departments, 6 centers, and 5 institutions.

Advent GX

The Innovation Underground

Advent GX, located in Bryan, TX, is a development platform that supports entrepreneurship and innovation within communities.

The Innovation Underground was founded as a local business incubator to help engineers and innovators commercialize their technologies. Cody partnered with Advent GX to launch it — identifying support needs and creating an environment for inventions to flourish.

Independent Consultant

2007 — present

In 2007, Cody began independent work, giving him the freedom to travel and build an enterprise. Engagements have included partnerships with MIT, the NBA, Discover, TM Advertising, and Texas A&M University.
